After playing for many years, Thomas officiated basketball for 12 years for high school and several collegiate conferences including USA South, Old Dominion Athletic Conference and Carolina’s/Virginia’s Athletic conference. He’s also served as a rater (evaluator) for High School officials, coached several years at the Kernersville YMCA and is presently a member of the Titan’s administrative board.

- A 2001 graduate of Kentucky Christian University (Ky), Short holds a B.A. in History/ Political Science and a Minor in Religion.
- It was at KCU Short continued to hone his coaching skills as a point guard for the varsity Knights. He was a four year starter for the varsity basketball Knights. As a player, he received numerous team and conference accolades. At the point, he led the Knights to four Final Four appearances and two National Championships (1997 & 2000).
- Brant is currently in this fourth year as a Head Coach for the Calvary Baptist Day School Men's Varsity Basketball Program. This past season he coached the team to over 20 wins and a 12-0 record in TAC Conference. His team also secured the Conference Tournament Championship and made a Final Four appearance at the State Tournament. Calvary also finished in the top 5 according to Rivals and the USA Hoops Poll for the 06 season.

Justin McClendon, M.S. (VA Commonwealth University)
A native of Greensboro and a graduate of Northwest Guilford High School (where he played basketball Football and Cross-country), Justin attended Western Carolina University and Brunswick Junior College, before earning his bachelor's degree from UNC-Greensboro. Justin earned his Master's Degree in coaching and administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2006. He played basketball collegiately at Brunswick Junior College which is a member of the NJCAA Region X.
Justin has coached basketball for a number of clubs and schools, including the North Carolina Gators, Triad Titans, Rusty LaRue Basketball Academy, Turrentine Middle School, Greensboro College Men’s Basketball, Virginia Commonwealth Men’s Basketball, and has worked as an instructor at numerous college basketball camps. He also served as team manager for the Washington Wizards 2005 training camp.
Currently, Justin serves as the Assistant Athletic Director and Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach at Forsyth Country Day School. Throughout the year, Justin serves as the Assistant Director for the Rusty LaRue Basketball Academy Fall and Winter Leagues in addition to the annual RLBA Summer Pro-Am. Justin resides in Clemmons with his wife Lindsay and son Jordan.
