Jacob Hartle traveled to Springfield, MA to compete in the 36th Annual Elk's National Hoop Shoot on Sat, April 26. The US is broken down into 12 regions. Jacob represented the Southeast Central Region. Jacob competed against 11 other boys in the 10-11 age group. He shot a perfect score of 25-25 shots. The runner up sank 23 - 25. He also won the top honor given out to the highest scoring male and highest scoring female, the Getty Powell Award. He will travel to Anaheim, CA on July 8th to accept the award and give a short speech at the Elk's National convention. His name, along with the male/female winners in the 8-9, 10-11, and 12-13 age groups will have their name inscribed on a plaque in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
