One
of the goals of every AAU program is to
win in the AAU Division-1 National Tournament!
The road to the Nationals goes through
the North Carolina State Tournament. Only the top teams competing
in the North Carolina State have the opportunity to play
in the Nationals.
To
qualify for participation in the North
Carolina State Tournament, we must be
a top qualifier in one of the various
regional tournaments. As you can see,
it is a difficult road, but a road the
Titans are up for!
For
teams not qualifying for a Division-1
invitation, the National AAU organization
has created a Division-2 bracket. This
tournament follows a similar path for
qualification.
In addition to AAU tournaments, the Titans will likely participate in USSSA and YBOA tournaments. Each organization has state and national tournaments.
The
Titan's season involves a lot of practice
and competing in tournaments throughout
the state. In some cases, some out of
state travel will be required (typically
to Virginia).
Here
is a glimpse of some of the tournaments
available to us:
- AAU qualifiers, state, and national tournament
- USSSA qualifiers, state and national tournament
- Misc. sanctioned and non-sanctioned
tournaments.
What follows are the dates for some of
these tournaments. Since there could be
other detours, we have also included the
state and national division 1 and 2 tournaments
dates along with other tournaments we
may participate in. You should refer to
the respective team page for the specific
tournaments for your team of interest.
